JAMMU, Oct 4: Apni Party provincial president Jammu and former minister, Manjit Singh today called upon all the party leaders and workers to spread policy of the Party at the grass root level in Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing a party leaders and workers meeting at Janipur in Jammu North constituency today, Manjit Singh said that the people are fed-up with the present form of Govt as the LG administration has lost faith among the people. The meeting was organized by senior advocate and Apni Party spokesperson, Nirmal Singh Kotwal.
“The LG administration has adopted an anti-people policy and enabled the outsiders to grab the resources and contracts to work in Jammu where the local contractors have rendered workless,” he said.
He said that the people of Jammu and Kashmir are forcefully demanding holding of Assembly polls in J&K without further delay although the administration is against the elected Government.
“An elected Government is responsible to the people and works for their welfare. However, the Govt which is being run by bureaucrats, has failed to perform on the ground,” he said and added that this situation has left the people hopeless.
He asked the party leaders and workers to spread the message of the party with regard to its policies among the people across Jammu and Kashmir. “The Apni Party has a social security scheme which needs to be highlighted among the people as we have many welfare schemes for the people and they must be informed about such policies. These policies will be implemented if the Apni Party comes to power,” he added.
Prominent among those who were present on the occasion include Provincial secretary/district president Jammu Urban, Dr Rohit Gupta, District president Jammu Rural-A, Pushap Dev Uppal, State coordinator SC Wing, Bodh Raj Bhagat, State president Trade Union, Ajaz Kazmi, Provincial president Youth Wing Vipul Bali, State OBC coordinator, Bodh Raj Bhagat, State coordinator Youth Wing, Sunny Kant Chib and others.
