JAMMU, Mar 9: Former Member-Parliament (Rajya Sabha) Shamsher Singh Manhas and Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Chander Mohan Gupta along with corporator Suraj Padha kick started the construction work of Community Hall at Municipal Ward No. 67 (Muthi).
Speaking in a meeting, Manhas said that some people were eying on encroaching this land, so it is our first foremost duty to protect it and save it from the encroachers. He also informed the public that the Community Hall will be 240 sq.ft. and around Rs 70 lakh will be spent on it.
He said the people have been demanding to build a community hall on this land for a long time and the Government has approved the funds for the same and today the work has been started for the construction of the community hall to meet the pending demand of the people. This will particularly benefit the people of the area and they will be able to hold their big and small functions in the hall.
He said that the Modi Government is committed to the overall development of the people with special focus on infrastructure development and social welfare.
He highlighted various schemes of the Modi Government for infrastructure development, which will change the landscape in the country and help make India a developed nation.
Prominent among those who were present on the occasion were corporator Kuldeep Singh, corporator Mohinder Bhagat ,Karan Singh, Pankaj Padha , Suresh Khajuria and Jagdish Sharma.
