JAMMU, Sept 25: A man wearing a combat dress was detained after he was found roaming aimlessly near Marble Market area in the jurisdiction of Gangyal Police Station.
As per police sources, some local spotted a man identified as Kuldeep Kumar (33), a resident of Udhampur roaming aimlessly.
Kumar was under the influence of drugs and was unable to give details.
Gangyal police took him into custody for questioning.
Kumar’s identity was established and it came to light that he was a drug addict, sources said, adding that his family members were contacted and he will be handed over to them.
“Nothing incriminating was recovered from Kumar’s possession. We are investigating the matter and finding out the reason behind his presence in an isolated area”, a police official said.
