JAMMU, Sept 25: BJP Mahilla Morcha State Vice President and JMC Councillor, Neena Gupta along with State BJYM Vice President, Ishant Gupta today started the work of laying water pipes in Sector-3, Channi Kamala here to tackle water problem of the area.
Speaking on the occasion, the Councillor said, pipes of the area got damaged few months ago and the locals started getting dirty water.
She said that she then approached concerned PHE officials and apprised them of the problem after which the locals started getting water from tankers daily as a temporary solution.
“Now today the work for laying new pipes has started which will be a big relief for the locals,” Neena said.
She also assured the locals that every problem like electricity, water, street lights, drains and roads will be resolved soon.
Ishant Gupta also spoke on the occasion.
XEN PHE Rakesh Mahajan, JE Naresh Sawhney, Balwan Singh, Poonam Gupta, Kamlesh Magotra, Raju, and locals were also present on the occasion.
