JAMMU, Dec 19: A man today succumbed to his burn injuries here at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).
According to a police spokesperson, the victim identified as Dinesh Kumar (23) son of Rampal, a resident of UP and at present living in Lalyal area of Satwari, had sustained serious burn injuries on all over his body on December 14 when he came in contact with a fire, which he had lighted in the open to keep himself warm from the biting cold.
With serious burn injuries the man was rushed on the same night to GMCH Jammu, where after battling with the life for over four days he succumbed to his injuries today at about 5.20 am.
After completing all medico-legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites.
The concerned police had already taken cognizance of the matter.
