Man shot dead, labourer injured

Srinagar, Mar 21: A man was shot dead by militants at Gotpora village of Budgam district while as a non-local street vendor was critically injured after being fired at by the militants today.
The man identified as Tajamul Mohi-ud-Din Rather was shot at by militants outside his home in Gotpora village of Budgam district. The injured man was rushed to the hospital for treatment.
However, he succumbed to his injuries on the way to the hospital. The area was cordoned off and massive searches were launched against the militants responsible for the killing.
A non-local labourer was shot at by militants at Gangoo area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district today. He has been identified as Bisujeet Kumar son of Paras Mandan of Bihar. He was immediately rushed to the District Hospital Pulwama for treatment.
A police spokesman said that during the evening hours, two incidents were reported in Budgam and Pulwama districts. Senior police officers along with reinforcement reached at both the crime spots.
