SRINAGAR, July 25: A man posing as a doctor was today arrested from a village in Kreeri area of district Baramulla.
Officials said that the man was practising as a doctor at a clinic situated in the same village and was minting money from people.
The man has been identified as Hilal Ahmed Hajam S/o Muhammad Ramzan Hajam R/o Kreeri. The official said that he has been practising as a doctor there for long now without any valid degree.
It was learned that the man is just a matriculate and was involved in minting money by posing as a medical doctor in the area for the last many years.
However, the police swung into the action and arrested the imposter from his clinic in the village. With investigation set in motion, he has been booked under various section of the law.
Sections like 419, cheating, 468, forgery of documents, and 468, forgery for purpose of cheating have been slapped on him and the case has been registered at Police Station Kreeri.
