JAMMU, Oct 26: Jhajjar Kotli police nabbed a man along with large quantity of illicit liquor pouches.
As per police sources, during patrolling, police team from Jhajjar Kotli police station intercepted a man for checking on suspicious grounds.
During checking, police recovered 46 pouches from his possession and arrested the person on the spot.
The accused has been identified as Bachan Singh, son of late Raghunath Singh, a resident of Chhurta, Tehsil Dansal.
He was carrying the illicit liquor pouches to his native village for sale among the masses for illegitimate profits.
A case under FIR Number 126/15 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered against the accused at Jhajjar Kotli police station and investigations started.
Police team led by SHO Jhajjar Kotli police station Inspector Ravinder Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Bharat Bhushan Sharma, SP Rural Rajeev Pandey and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
