RAMBAN, Mar 22: A man lost his life in a late-night road accident on Saturday after his car met with a mishap near Chanderkote.
Officials said the vehicle (JK19A-7847), which was on its way from Nashri to Ramban, went out of control and rammed into a road divider near Masjid Point. The driver sustained critical injuries in the collision. He was immediately shifted to District Hospital Ramban for treatment, where he was identified as Kuldeep Singh, son of Bishen Dass, a resident of Pernote in Ramban.
Given his serious condition, doctors referred the injured person to Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu for specialized care. However, Kuldeep Singh succumbed to his injuries while being shifted to Jammu, officials confirmed.
Police have registered a case FIR Number 21/2026 at Police Station Chanderkote and initiated an investigation to ascertain the exact cause of the accident.
