KISHTWAR, June 26: A man was killed after a tipper he was travelling in skidded off the road and fell into river Chenab at Sangambatti area of Mughal Maidan.
As per police sources, a tipper bearing registration number JK17-0155 skidded off the road and plunged into river Chenab at Sangambatti area of Mughal Maidan.
In the accident, the driver escaped unhurt while his associate identified as Shahnawaz, son of Farooq Ahmed of Kuriya Bridge District Kishtwar died on the spot.
After completing medical and legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to legal heirs for last rites.
A case under relevant sections has been registered at Police Station Chatroo and investigation started.
