JAMMU, Apr 3: A man was killed today after he was hit by a train at Channi Himmat area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, a man identified as Roshan (48) son of Ram Lakhan, resident of Chattisgarh (at present living in Channi area of Jammu), sustained serious injuries this evening when a fast moving train hit him while he was trying to cross the railway track at Channi Fatak.
“The injured man was immediately shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu”, where he succumbed to his injuries at about 9.30 PM”, the spokesman said, adding, the body of the deceased has been shifted in the mortuary room of the hospital for post mortem.
A case in this connection has been registered at police station GRP Jammu.
