SRINAGAR, May 10: One person was killed while eight others were injured in different road accidents across Valley.
A police spokesman said a load carrier bearing registration number JK03C-9971 hit a motorcycle bearing registration number HR25C-3349, resulting in critical injuries to the motorcyclist identified as Fayaz Ahmad Dar along KP Road in Anantnag district. “The injured succumbed to his injuries when he was being shifted to the hospital,” he said.
The spokesman said a Tata Mobile vehicle JK03C-6373 hit a Santro car bearing registration number JK03B-4425 near Eidgah Crossing in Anantnag district, resulting in injuries to two persons including driver of the Santro car. “Both the injured were shifted to the hospital for treatment.
The spokesman said a motorcycle bearing registration number JK03BA-3223 hit and injured a pedestrian identified as Sartaj Ahmad Wani at Khudwani in Kulgam district. “The injured was shifted to District Hospital Anantnag wherefrom he was referred to SKIMS Soura here for further treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard,” he said.
The spokesman said a truck bearing registration number JK09-1820 hit and injured a pedestrian identified as Muzaffar Ahmad Shah near Chadoora area of Budgam district. “The injured was shifted to the hospital for treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard,” he added.
In another accident a Santro car bearing registration number JK01G-1256 collided with Maruti car bearing registration number JK01D-9342 at general road Khansahab near Shamsabad in Budgam district, resulting in injuries to three persons identified as Abdul Qayoom Ganaie, Rouf Ahmad and Reyaz Ahmad. “The injured were shifted to the hospital for treatment. Police have registered cases regarding these accidents,” he added.
The spokesman said a Tata 407 vehicle bearing registration number JK05- 4650 turned turtle at Quil Muqam in Bandipora district, resulting in injuries to a passenger identified as Shahnawaz Ahmad Turk. The injured was shifted to the hospital for treatment. Bandipora police has registered a case in this regard.
