Dr Malaviya gets UGC Research Award

JAMMU, May 10: Dr Piyush Malaviya, Associate Professor in the Department of Environmental Science, University of Jammu, has been conferred with the prestigious Research Award by the University Grants Commission (UGC), Government of India.
The award has been given to Dr Malaviya to pursue research in the area of industrial wastewater bioremediation. The Research Award will cover full salary reimbursement of the awardee to JU for two years along with a research grant.
Earlier, Dr Malaviya  has been awarded UGC funded Raman Post-doctoral Fellowship to work at Texas Tech University, USA and later, Erasmus Mundus Post-doctoral Fellowship funded by European Union (EU) to work at University of Warsaw, Poland. Dr Malaviya is also a recipient of Dr K S Krishnan Fellowship, Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India.
