JAMMU, Aug 20: A man today jumped from Gujjar Nagar Tawi bridge and remained untraced till late night.
“A man identified as Mahavir (25) son of Ram Charan, resident of Rajasthan (at present Gorakha Nagar, Bagh-e-Bahu) today at about 8 pm jumped from Tawi bridge at Gujjar Nagar”, a police spokesman said.
He said on getting information, an SDRF team was called immediately and a search operation was launched but the body of the man could not be traced and the operation has to be suspended at about 10.30 pm. “The search operation will be started again tomorrow morning”, he said, adding Bagh-e-Bahu police had taken cognizance of the matter.
