JAMMU, Dec 28: Gharota Police arrested a man involved in attempt to murder case within 24 hours.
As per police sources, a man identified as Aftab Hussain Shah, son of Nisar Hussain Shah of Maradpur Bathuni, District Rajouri, at present Masjid Mohalla Baran Tehsil Bhalwal District Jammu owing to some old enmity attacked his neighbour namely Ajay Kumar, son of Sham Lal of Masjid Mohalla Baran Tehsil Bhalwal District Jammu with brick with the intention to kill him yesterday and escaped from the spot.
In the attack, Ajay Kumar suffered injuries and was rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Jammu, where he was responding to the treatment, when last reports came in.
However, a case FIR Number 124/2021 under Sections 307 and 323 IPC was registered at Police Station Gharota and hunt was launched to nab the attacker.
On specific information, a team from Police Station Gharota led by SHO Inspector Khyati Maan Khajuria conducted raid and apprehended the accused.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
