Man injured in assault, accused arrested

JAMMU, Mar 21: Police today arrested a person for stabbing a man in Kullian area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, a scuffle broke out today between two persons in Khapper (Kulliyan) area over some land dispute. He said after heated exchanges, one of them, who was identified as Jagmohan son of Lal Ji Ram, a resident of Jassore, in a fit of rage attacked the other namely Pardeep Singh (40) son of Darshan Singh of Simbal Camp, with a sharp edged weapon.
“In the attack, Pardeep received injuries on his head. He was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for treatment”, the spokesman said, adding on the complaint of the family members, a case FIR No 55/16 under Sections 307, 341, 4/25 Arms Act was registered at police Station Miran Sahib and the accused arrested.
The arrest was made by SHO Miran Sahib, Sub-Inspector Hilal Azhar under the supervision of SDPO Harjeet Singh and SP Headquarters, RC Kotwal.
