UDHAMPUR, Aug 21: An elderly villager was injured in gun fire at Manwal in district Udhampur today.
The police said that one Bishan Singh (75), son of Durga Singh, a resident of Manwal was working in the house of one Parshotam Singh, son of Attar Singh of Manwal as labourer today.
Suddenly, an unidentified person fired with a country made gun. The pellets of the gun hit Bishan Singh causing him multiple injuries. The locals of the area rushed to the spot and took the injured person to PHC Majalta, where doctors referred him to GMC Hospital, Jammu.
Majalta police has registered a case FIR No. 98/202 under section 337 IPC 3/25 Arms Act. Further investigation was in progress.
