JAMMU, Nov 24: Pargwal police arrested a man along with large quantity of illicit liquor pouches.
As per police sources, on specific information, police team from Pargwal police post laid a naka and intercepted a man on suspicious grounds.
During checking, police recovered 36 pouches of illicit liquor and arrested the bootlegger, who has been identified as Surjeet Singh, son of Balwant Singh of Bhalwal Barth, Pargwal.
A case under FIR Number 83/15 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Khour police station and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge Police Post Pargwal SI Rajinder Khajuria made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Khour SI Mohammad Iqbal Chagatta, SDPO Akhnoor Naresh Singh, SP Rural Rajeev Pandey and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
