JAMMU, Oct 1: Nehru Market police arrested a man along with large quantity of illicit liquor pouches.
As per police sources, on specific information, police team from Nehru Market police post laid a naka and intercepted a man on suspicious grounds.
During checking, police recovered 50 pouches and 6 bottles of illicit liquor and arrested the bootlegger, who has been identified as Rajesh Kumar, son of Dhyan Chand, a resident of district Doda.
A case under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Nehru Market police post and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge Police Post SI Sumit Magotra made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Gandhi Nagar Inspector Bishnesh Kumar, SDPO South Sachin Gupta, SP South Uday Bhaskar Billa and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
