RAJOURI, Jan 19: Kandi police today foiled a liquor smuggling bid by arresting a person.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Police Station Kandi led by SHO Kandi Manzoor Kohli under the supervision of DySP Operations Sukhdev Singh and SSP Yougal Manhas laid a naka at Kandi Gala and intercepted arrested a man identified as Chamail Singh, son of Sita Ram of Bakori Kotranka along with 14 bottles of illicit liquor.
A case under FIR Number 7/18 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Kandi and investigation started.
