JAMMU, Dec 14: Police arrested a man along with 7 litres of illicit liquor from Khairi area, falling under the jurisdiction of Bishnah police station.
As per police sources, on specific inputs, a team from Bishnah police station conducted raid in Khairi area and arrested a man along with 7 litres of illicit liquor.
The accused has been identified as Baldev Raj, son of Lal Chand, a resident of Khairi.
A case under FIR Number 189/16 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Bishnah police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Bishnah Inspector Paramjit Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Surinder Choudhary and SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal.
