JAMMU, July 13: A 25-year old youth allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself at his residence in Kothe Morh area falling within the limits of police station Bishnah.
According to police spokesperson, the man identified as Sham Lal (25), son of Kamleshwar Singh, a resident Chue Chak near Kothe Morh (Bishnah) today hanged himself to death with the help of a scarf at his residence.
The body of the deceased was found hanging with the hook of the ceiling fan by the family members, who informed the police.
On getting information, police reached the spot and shifted the dead body to mortuary room of Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where after conducting post mortem, it was handed over to its legal heirs for last rites.
As no suicide note was recovered from the spot, the concerned police has registered a case under relevant sections and started investigations.
