JAMMU, Apr 28: A man allegedly committed suicide tonight by hanging himself in Kanachak area of city outskirts.
According to police spokesman, a man identified as Ashok Kumar (35) son of Tara Chand, a resident of Sui Mandir in Kanachak area, was found hanging with the hook of a ceiling fan at his residence.
He said on getting information from family members, police reached the spot and shifted the dead body to mortuary room of Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, for post mortem.
“A case in this connection was registered at police station Kanachak and proceedings initiated under 174 CrPC”, he added.
