JAMMU, Sept 1: The dead body of a man was today found from his own car in mysterious circumstances in Kheri area falling under the jurisdiction of police post Chinore.
“The deceased has been identified as Angrez Singh (52) son of Sain Dass, resident of Burn (Kot Bhalwal)”, a police official said. He said the body was spotted this afternoon by some locals on the back seat of an Alto K10 car bearing registration number JK02BU-3751, which was parked near Government Higher Secondary School, Kheri.
The official said on the information of locals, a police team reached the spot and shifted the body of the deceased to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for postmortem. He said prima facie it appears to be a case of murder, as the body was bearing some injury marks.
“In this connection, inquest proceedings have been initiated at police post Chinore”, he added.
