UDHAMPUR, June 15: A man was found hanging from a tree near his house at village Rua Bagh Gordi in district Udhampur while in a separate incident, a young girl sustained critical burn injuries under mysterious circumstances.
The deceased man has been identified as Randeer Singh (38), son of Amar Chand of Rua Bagh Gordi. Some locals found him hanging from a tree near his house and informed the Police, which shifted the body to hospital for postmortem and other legal formalities.
It appears to be a case of suicide and Police has registered a case for further investigation.
Meanwhile, a girl received serious burn injuries under mysterious circumstances at her house in village Dhangar, near Jib.
The girl, identified as Sakshi Devi (19) daughter of Chunni Lal was shifted to District Hospital Udhampur where doctors referred her to GMC Hospital Jammu in view of her critical condition.
Police has registered the case for investigations into the incident.
