Man found hanging at Dansal; dead bodies found in Tahara, Nagrota

JAMMU, Nov 29: A man was found hanging in the wee hours of today near his residence in Dansal area of city outskirts while as unidentified female body was found along a road in Tahara area falling under the limits of police station Jhajjar Kotli and a male body was found from a truck in Nagrota area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesperson, Saraj Din (50) son of Jumma, a resident of Chaddali (Dansal), was today found hanging with a tree near his residence at about 4 am. On getting information, a police team reached the spot and shifted the dead body of the deceased to Government Hospital, Dansal, where after completing medico-legal formalities it was handed over to its legal heirs for last rites.
Meanwhile, the body of an unidentified female of age about 55 years was found along a road in Tahara Bynyenahar area falling under the jurisdiction of police station Jhajjar Kotli and was shifted by the police to mortuary room of Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for identification. The lady was reportedly mentally unstable.
Also, a truck driver identified as Jagtar Mashi (40) son of Seena Mashi, a resident of Dhariwal in Gurdaspur (Punjab), was found dead under mysterious circumstances this afternoon in his truck bearing registration number PB29C-9742 parked in the premises of MCI store near toll plaza at Bantalab in Nagrota area of city outskirts.
On getting information, a police team reached the spot and shifted the dead body of the man to mortuary room of GMCH, where postmortem on the body will be conducted tomorrow.
In all three cases, the concerned police have taken cognizance.
