JAMMU, Oct 10: The dead body of a man was found late last night from a ‘nallah’ in Mathwar area of Bhalwal tehsil in Jammu district.
According to a police official, the deceased was identified as Farakat Ali (28) son of Abdul Rashid, resident of Bagani (Mathwar) in tehsil Bhalwal. He said that body of the deceased was today handed over to his legal heirs for last rites after conducting postmortem at Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu.
“Prima facie it appears that the man died due to fall from hillock. However, a case has been registered in this connection at police station Gharota and investigations started”, he added.
