RAJOURI, Aug 21: Mystery shrouds the death of an elderly man whose body was recovered from the bank of a nallah in Sandote area of Rajouri while a 9-year-old boy was washed away a river near Chandak in Poonch today.
A police spokesman said that 65-year-old Wali Mohd, son of Farman Ali, resident of Swari in Kotranka, had gone to nearby jungle for collecting green fodder for the cattle last evening. He went missing and the family was searching for him. Today, his dead body was recovered at the bank of a nallah, at Ladote village in Rajouri. The police registered a case under Section 174 CrPC and started investigation.
Meanwhile, a minor boy studying in a local Madrasa at Chandak (Poonch), went to nearby river along with four other boys. The boy washed away in flash flood in the river. Later, his body was recovered with the help of local villagers nearly 500 meters down stream. He has been identified as Yasir Iqbal, son of Mohd Afzal, resident of Hari Budha in Surankote.
