UDHAMPUR, Apr 28: A 25-year-old man died today after he fell from a moving train near Kalta Railway Station in Udhampur District, police said.
They said Sanjay Biradar son of Kabapa of Terna Tehsil in Mafta District of Goa slipped from Hemkund Express near Kalta Railway Station, resulting in severe injuries to him.
The injured youth was taken to District Hospital Udhampur where doctors declared him dead on arrival, said police.
While the body of the deceased youth has been shifted to the mortuary of the hospital for conducting the post-mortem a case under the relevant sections of the law has been registered at Police Station GRP Udhampur and further investigation taken up.
