Srinagar, Sept 21: Police today said a mentally unsound person drowned in a water reservoir here on Sunday evening.
A police spokesman said that 25 year-old Asif Ahmad Magray of Nowbugh in Zakoora area got drowned into Public Health Engineering (PHE) water reservoir at Chane Mohalla in Chandpora locality Shalimar.
“The body of deceased was fished out and handed over to his legal heirs for last rites,” the spokesman said, adding that the deceased was mentally unsound.
Police has registered a case in this regard, the spokesman added.
