POONCH, Aug 28: A villager was killed in a road accident in Degwar area of district Poonch today.
A police spokesman said that an Auto-rikshaw bearing registration number, JK12A/ 6616 hit a villager namely, Mohd Sadiq (33), son of Juma, resident of Sathra (at present Degwar) on the road near his village. He sustained serious head injuries and was rushed to District Hospital, Poonch where doctors declared him as brought dead.
The police seized the three-wheeler and arrested its driver, Mohd Maroof, son of Mohd Khan, resident of Degwar village. A case has been registered in this regard.
