JAMMU, Jan 29: A man has been detained along with 1 kilogram of gold brick at Jammu Airport, here today.
As per police sources, during luggage checking at Jammu Airport, a person identified as Amit Sarin, son of Parshotam Lal Sarin of Bharat Nagar, Talab Tillo, who was supposed to travel from Jammu to Delhi by AI flight was found carrying a brick of 1 kilogram gold without any document.
The matter was referred to Sales Tax and Income Tax Departments. The Sales Tax Department prepared a seizure.
The passenger, who was in inebriated condition, was handed over to Satwari Police Station for legal action.
