SAMBA, Dec 13: An old person was crushed to death by Begampura Express at Bari Brahmana Railway track in district Samba near here, today.
The deceased has been identified as Pritam Chand, 55, son of Milkhi Ram resident of Sayi Kalyana, R.S Pura district, Jammu.
According to police the incident took place at Bari Brahmana railway track near Pillar No 92 km at around one pm as the deceased jumped from the moving train and was killed on the spot. Some passers by saw the dead body lying on the track and they immediately informed the GRP. After getting the information police reached on the spot and took the dead body into custody and shifted it to mortuary room of Government Medical College Hospital Jammu for autopsy.
In this regard Police has taken cognizance of the matter and started investigation.
