UDHAMPUR, Mar 12: In two deaths under mysterious circumstances, a man committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at his residence in Ramnagar while a youth was found dead in a village of Chenani.
According to the police report, Kaku Ram (45), son of Shiv Ram of Ward number 3, Ramnagar, consumed some poisonous substance at his residence late last night. Family members took him to Sub District Hospital Ramnagar where doctors referred him to GMC Hospital Jammu in view of his serious condition. He died during treatment at GMC Jammu, this morning.
Cause of provocation behind the extreme step could not be ascertained while Police has registered the case in this regard at Ramnagar Police Station.
In another case, one Shotu (32), son of Ramesh Kumar of Ward number 4, Nagulta in Chenani, was found dead at roadside in Nunka Gola, Nagulta, Chenani.
On being informed by some locals, Police shifted the dead body to Sub District Hospital Chenani for the postmortem. Inquest proceedings under section 174 IPC have been initiated in this regard at Chenani Police station. There was no injury mark on the dead body.
