UDHAMPUR, July 30: A young man committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at his residence in village Kawa of Udhampur while four persons were injured when their car collided with a truck near Darsu at Manwal-Udhampur road.
According to the police reports, Sudesh Kumar (40) son of Krishan Chand of Kawa, consume some poisonous substance in his home. Family members took him to District Hospital Udhampur where doctors referred him to GMC Hospital Jammu in view of his critical condition. Despite hectic efforts by the doctors at GMC, Sudesh Kumar did not respond to the treatment and died.
Cause behind the extreme step could not be ascertained while Police has registered a case for further investigation.
Meanwhile, four persons were injured when their Swift Car bearing registration number JK01X-4899, collides with a Truck JK05C-7082, near Darsu at Manwal- Udhampur road. Police shifted the injured persons to District Hospital Udhampur. They were identified as Gulam Haider (55) son of Haider Ali of Raj Bagh Kashmir, his wife Razia a Begam (46), Mohd Ibrahim (35) son of Shair Ali of Leh and Gulam Mohi ud- Din (30) son of Abdul Gani of Doni Pura Anantnag Kashmir.
