UDHAMPUR, Apr 15: A man committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at his residence, here last night.
The deceased has been identified as Romesh Kumar (39), son of Chet Ram of Shakti Nagar (Ward Number 15), Udhampur. He was found lying semi-unconscious and vomiting in his room. The family members shifted him to District Hospital Udhampur. However, despite hectic efforts by the doctors, he did not respond to the treatment and died soon.
Cause behind the extreme step could not be ascertained while Police has registered a case in this connection for further investigation.
