Joint delegation calls on Priya, demands release of salaries

JAMMU, Apr 15: A joint delegation of BJP displaced Unit and various organizations of displaced employees today called on Minister of State for Education and Information Priya Sethi and apprised her of the problems faced by the State Government employees and migrant employees and relief holders due to non payment of salaries of March and disbursement of cash relief.
The delegation was led by T N Bhat president displaced BJP Unit and it among others included Veena Gurtu, Dr Ramesh etc. It expressed serious concern over non disbursement of salaries for the month and cash relief of March to employees and relief holders.
They demanded that Government should take immediate steps in releasing the salaries and cash assistance as there is brewing public resentment against the same. The delegation also took up the issue with Industries and Commerce Minister, Chander Parkash Ganga telephonically and sought his immediate intervention in the matter. They appealed the two ministers to take up the issue with Chief Minister as State is passing through severe financial crisis.
Meanwhile All Displaced Kashmiri Employees Forum president M K Ticku and general secretary Mr Razdhan have also expressed concern over the non payment of salaries to employees till date. They said that there is a lot of resentment among the working class and further delay in release of salaries will force them to come to streets in protest.
They demanded immediate release of salaries for the month of March failing which the Government will be responsible for all consequences.
