REASI, Apr 14: One person has been booked for violating advisories issued in connection with COVID -19 and entering Reasi after travelling across Red Zones.
The accused, namely Mohinder Lal , son of Munshi Ram of Baradari, Reasi, reached home yesterday after travelling from Srinagar to Domail, by taking lift in a truck on way from Srinagar to Jammu. From Domail, he again took lift in a truck transporting essential commodities to Mahore for reaching Reasi.
Since the said person travelled all the way from Red Zone areas of Kashmir to Reasi without informing district administration Reasi, hiding his travel history and thereby putting at risk his family members and general public of Reasi at large, negligently and malignantly promoted spreading infectious disease dangerous to human beings, Inspector Vijay Thakur, SHO P/S Reasi along with Munshi Ram, Tehsildar Reasi, swung into action and immediately got the said delinquent person quarantined with the assistance of Health authorities.
In this regard, a case FIR number 39/2020, under section 269/270/188 IPC has been registered at Police Station Reasi and further investigation of the case is going on.
Worthwhile to mention here that District Administration Reasi has already issued an advisory with regard to COVID-19 restricting movement from other districts, declared as ‘Red Zones’ besides self declaration of the travel history.
