JAMMU, Sept 9: A man was booked today by Bahu Fort police for renting the hutments in his plot without police verification.
As per police sources, information was received at Police Station Bahu Fort that around one dozen families are living in hutments of a plot on rent without mandatory police inspection.
On getting information, a team from Police Station Bahu Fort led by SHO Inspector Nayat Ali rushed to the spot and booked the owner of the plot, who was identified as Mohinder Singh, son of Kirpal Singh of Basant Bihar Sector 3 Trikuta Nagar, at present Rehari Chungi District Jammu.
A case vide FIR Number 234/2022 under Section 188 IPC was registered against the landlord at Police Station Bahu Fort for violating the orders of District Magistrate to inform the police before giving any residential complex on rent.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
