JAMMU, Jan 29: A man has been booked for raping a woman and recorded the incident in his mobile phone to blackmail her for getting her favour when needed.
As per police sources, a man identified as Mukesh Kumar, son of Charan Dass of Shekhapir tehsil Marh raped a married woman of his native village around three years back and recorded the incident on his mobile phone.
“By threatening her of making the video viral, the man took me to different locations and raped me”, sources said, adding that when the man came to know that the lady is pregnant, he took her to Katra and gave her pills, with which she got aborted.
“When the lady came to know that the man gave her pills and aborted her child, she ran away from there and narrated the ordeal to her family members”, sources informed.
The family members along with the victim reported the whole incident to police, sources said, adding that after conducting medical examination, the woman was handed over to her family members.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 9/2020 under sections 376, 313, 506 IPC at Police Station Kanachack and hunt has been launched to nab the accused.
