DODA, Aug 27: A man has been booked for raping minor daughter in Bharti area of Gandoh, here.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged by a lady with Women Police Station Doda stating that her husband Mohammad Yaqoob of Bharti Gandoh has raped her minor daughter, when she had gone to met her ailing father, who was suffering from cancer.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 24/2020 under section 376 IPC and 4/6 POCSO Act has been registered at Women Police Station Doda, who escaped from the spot.
The girl was handed over to family members after conducting medical examination.
A manhunt has been launched to nab the accused jointly by SHO Women Police Station Doda Bhramdev Singh and SHO Gandoh.
