JAMMU, July 27: Akhnoor police today booked a man for preparing a fake affidavit to grab land of another person.
The accused has been identified as Manga Ram son of Girdhari Lal of Sohal (Akhnoor). According to the police, the accused prepared a fake affidavit in the name of Ram Parkash son of Nand Lal, resident of Kaink (Akhnoor) in order to grab the land measuring 10 Kanals situated at Kaink (Akhnoor) by making changes in Revenue records.
On the complaint of the Ram Parkash, a case was registered under sections 420/ 465/ 466/ 467/ 471 of IPC against the accused at police station Akhnoor and accordingly, he was arrested. Further investigation of the case is in progress.
