JAMMU, Jan 29: Chatroo Police arrested a man along with 12 bore rifle.
As per police sources, a team from Police Station Chatroo led by Inspector Parvaiz Khanday under the supervision of DySP DAR Zia–Haq intercepted a man at Nanzala Sigdi area, who was heading towards forest carrying a rifle on his shoulder.
During questioning, the said person was asked to produce the document of the weapon, but he failed and accordingly the accused person was taken into the custody and the weapon was seized on spot.
The arrested person was identified as Dewan Chand, son of Beli Ram of Nanzala Sigdi, District Kishtwar.
A case FIR Number 08/2022 under relevant section of law has been registered at Police Station Chatroo and investigation taken up.
