JAMMU, Jan 13: Gandhi Nagar police today arrested a person with intoxicants.
“Today a surprised naka was established at Shamshan Ghat Chowk, Shastri Nagar, by Gandhi Nagar police and during naka checking one person coming from Shastri Nagar towards Digiana after observing the naka party tried to escape in suspicious condition”, a police spokesman said, adding the alert cops managed to caught the suspect after a brief chase.
He said on the personal search of the suspect, who was identified as Ajay Kumar son of Som Nath Menia, resident of Menia Mohalla, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu, 300 capsules and 20 bottles of Corex were recovered from his possession.
In this connection, a case FIR No 11/2018, under Sections 8/21/22 NDPS Act was registered at police station Gandhi Nagar and further investigation of the case was going on.
