JAMMU, Apr 9: The sleuths of District Special Branch and cops from Police Station Bishnah arrested a man and recovered illicit liquor pouches from his possession.
As per police sources, on reliable information, the sleuths of DSB along with cops from Police Station Bishnah laid a naka at Karail Manhas and intercepted a motorcycle bearing registration number JK02BP-9891.
During checking, police recovered 50 pouches of illicit liquor from the possession of the rider and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Arjun Kumar, son of Bachan Lal, a resident of Karail Manhasa.
A case under FIR Number 72/18 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Bishnah Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Bishnah Inspector Naresh Sharma made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Sourabh Prasher, SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
