SRINAGAR, Apr 9: Police today recovered two kidnapped girls and arrested their abductor in Pulwama and Ganderbal districts.
A Police spokesman said that a minor girl had been kidnapped by one, Tariq Ahmad Wagay son of Mohammad Abdullah Wagay, a resident of Armulla Lassipora on April 1 and accordingly a case with FIR No. 94/2018 under Section 363 RPC was registered in Police Station, Pulwama.
He said a special team headed by SDPO Litter, SHO PS Pulwama, DO Police Post Lassipora was constituted on the directions of SSP Pulwama, Mohammad Aslam and a manhunt was launched to nab the culprit.
“Search was carried out by the team throughout the Valley. Finally Police Pulwama succeeded to recover the minor girl and arrested the accused abductor. The girl was handed over to her parents and the accused is now behind the bars,” he said
He said another girl had been kidnapped by one accused Mohd Afzal Beigh, a resident of Rayil Khour on Sunday and accordingly a case with FIR No. 09/2018 under section 363 RPC was registered in Police Station Gund.
He said a special team headed by SDPO Kangan Shah Umar, SHO PS Gund SI Syed Arif was constituted on the directions of SSP Ganderbal, Fayaz Ahmad Lone and a manhunt was launched to nab the culprit.
“Search was carried out by the team to recover the kidnapped girl and finally Police succeeded to recover the minor girl and arrested the accused abductor today. The girl was handed over to her parents and the accused is now behind the bars,” he said
