JAMMU, Feb 14: Akhnoor police arrested a man and recovered large quantity of illicit liquor pouches from his possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Akhnoor Police Station apprehended a man at Devipura and recovered 60 pouches of illicit liquor from his possession.
The arrested person has been identified as Pawan Singh, son of Anand Singh, a resident of Devipur.
He was carrying the illicit liquor pouches to his native area for selling among the people to make illegitimate profits.
A case under FIR Number 22/18 has been registered at Police Station Akhnoor and further investigation of the case is going on.
Police team led by SHO Akhnoor Inspector Shiv Dev Singh and assisted by Head Constable (HC) Sheetal Kumar made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Akhnoor Munish Kumar Anand and SP Rural Shivdeep Singh Jamwal.
