JAMMU, Dec 12: Kanachack police arrested a man and recovered illicit liquor pouches from his possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Kanachack Police Station laid a naka and intercepted a pedestrian.
During checking, police recovered 37 pouches of illicit liquor from the possession of the pedestrian and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Kishore Sharma, son of late Ram Saran, a resident of Kangrail.
A case under FIR Number 155/17 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Kanachack Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Kanachack Inspector Neeraj Choudhary made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Domana Verinder Singh and SP Rural Shivdeep Singh.
