JAMMU, June 27: Kanachack police arrested a man and recovered large quantity of illicit liquor.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Kanachack Police Station laid a naka at Mishriwala and apprehended a man along with 36 pouches of illicit liquor and two beer bottles.
The accused has been identified as Ramesh Singh, son of Chanchal Singh, a resident of Marjali.
He was carrying the consignment to his native area for selling among the people to make illegitimate profits.
A case under FIR Number 82/18 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Kanachack and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Kanachack Inspector Neeraj Choudhary made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Domana Sandeep Gupta and SP Rural Dushyant Sharma.
