Man arrested for SOP violation

JAMMU, Nov 3: A man has been arrested for violating COVID-19 pandemic SOPs.
According to police spokesman, a man identified as Amandeep Singh has been arrested by Gandhi Nagar Police for violating COVID-19 pandemic SOPs.
“Singh violated social distancing and a case under Section 188 IPC was registered against him at Gandhi Nagar Police Station”, he added.
Singh was bailed out late in the evening, spokesman stated.
However, the family members alleged that Singh has been arrested for trying to host National Flag atop the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) office at Gandhi Nagar in protest against PDP President Mehbooba Mufti statement that she is not interested in contesting elections or holding the tricolour till the constitutional changes enforced on August 5 last year are rolled back.
